His 18 year stint with American Express Travel Related Services in India included roles in Sales, Relationship Management, Operations and General Management of Travel, Foreign Exchange, Travelers cheques and Corporate Card. Vijay as Country Head of American Express Travel business in India between 2002-06 was responsible in driving and managing aggressive business growth and instrumental in expanding service delivery to newer cities. |

A thoroughbred from the Travel Industry Shastry has over 25 years of experience. He handled all facets of the travel business like Corporate Travel, Inbound Leisure, Outbound Leisure, Foreign Exchange, MICE as profit center head since 1984. He served as General Manager, International Travel House in South and North India and as Business Head, Carlsonwagonlit Travel, North India. His experience includes a two and half year stint with Jet Airways as Country Head for KSA& Egypt and presently is the Head Market Development-South Asia for a renowned GDS. |
